Valentine's Day Brownies That Are Good For You!

Giving sweets to your sweetie is a tradition on Valentine's Day, but it doesn't have to be an unhealthy gift.  Try this recipe for black bean brownies.  These are so tasty, you wouldn't even suspect that the main ingredient is black beans...unless you baked them yourself.  These yummy treats are made with no gluten, no dairy, and no sugar.  You get the healthy benefits of fiber and coconut oil, too.  All of this in a DESSERT?  Fabulous!

Weight Loss Reduces Knee Pain

Got knee pain?  Before you start reaching for that bottle of ibuprofen every day, consider this.  Your knees bear most of the weight of your body.  For every pound of body weight you gain, you add three pounds of pressure through your knee joints.  So when I find that a patient’s knee pain is due to the development of osteoarthritis – the gradual “wear and tear” of the joint – the first issue I address is not medication options, but weight management.
